I've decided to temporarily restart this blog; for numerous reasons. I'll be posting the next update shortly.
As I have entered high school, and have an AP class, I am rather busy. So this site will be temporarily on hiatus. Sorry. There will be intermittent posts, but nothing frequent. Sign up for the email notifications, to be apprised of new posts. Sorry guys.
As many of you know, Hatsune Miku's birthday was two days ago on August 30th. The virtual idol has been in existence for 4 years now, and has attracted millions of fans. She has preformed in countless concerts, AMVs, has held "live concerts", has had video games and spoof anime and manga made of her and her friends, and now has her own Toyota commercials.
Hatsune's official distribution page, karenT, has a special event (http://karent.jp/special/miku11) going on right now to celebrate.
Every year, in Miku's birthplace, Sapporo,Japan, a concert is held. This year, another concert was held at the Nokia Theatre, during this year's Anime Expo. Mikubook.com, a website where fans can discuss and share all the AMVs and songs that make up the Vocaloid universe, though still in a beta stage, has placed the set-lists from concerts on online, and in order, so if you could not go then, you can enjoy them now.
Also on KarenT there is a special wallpaper download for you: (TinierMe Users, there has been a download for you also.)

As you know, director Satoshi Kon died of cancer around this time last year. His last film, to have been produced by Madhouse, Yume-Miru Kikai (The Dreaming Machine), has just had it's funding quietly placed on hiatus due to lack of funding. After his death, Yoshimi Itazu took over production in 2010. But of 1,500 planned shots, only 600 have been finished, said Madhouse CEO Masao Maruyama. The film is only temporarily off, Maruyama announced at a recent Otakon panel, he continued on to say "I do want to go ahead with Dreaming Machine.. I don’t care how many years it’s going to take; I will get the financing required to complete the title”. Two years ago, Satoshi Kon came up with a typical sci-fi plot. The only thing is, it actually happened, just not in Kon's lifetime. The Dreaming Machine centers on a tsunami that wipes out an entire town, and a robot goes on a quest to find a new source of power for the town. Sound familiar? Kon's story almost seems to predict the events in March, this year. At any rate, fans will have a long wait until the Dream Machine is released.
For those of you who like yaoi, and feel, as do many that there isn’t much yaoi anime out there, then I have some good news for you. The 2003 manga, Hybrid Child by Shungiku Nakamura and available in English from Digital Manga Press, is getting an anime adaption, and Nakamura’s other manga, Sekai-Ichi Hatsukoi (“World’s Number One First Love”), is getting a second season. The first season aired last April.
Remember No.6? (http://mangacatonline.blogspot.com/2011/07/no6-episode-1-review.htm)Well, Sentai Filmworks has acquired the distribution rights. A digital copy will be available in the near future, and the home video version is slated for sometime next year.
Bandai has acquired GOSICK, many of the episodes have been reviewed here, Nichijou, the highly successful slice of life, which has been compared favorably to Yotsuba!& and Azumanga Daioh, and the rights to the Code Geass: Renya of the Darkness manga.
Disney has hired Reno 911 co-creator Robert Garant to write a screenplay, called Tux, based on the 1997-2000 romantic comedy manga Tuxedo Gin.
The next Hayao Miyazaki film, master animator from Studio Ghibli, the company that helped define, redefine, and shape what we consider anime today, and brought us classics such as My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Nausicca: Valley of the Wind, and so many more, will be an autobiography. It was not clarified whether or not the film would center on Miyazaki’s own life, or is based on someone else’s. On another Ghibli note, Miyazaki’s son’s newest film opened below the newest Doraemon, Pokemon, and the final installment of Harry Potter.

Stephanie Yanez's new song, Ultimate Miku World, was released in late June, during the time when I was absent from my usual post. The song, a crossover between American Jpop singer Stephanie Yanez, and international sensation Hatsune Miku, was originally aired on TinierMe.com, where Stephanie acts as a sponsor and virtual idol. The song can be purchased on iTunes, where it has averaged a rough ✩✩✩✩✩ in user votes.

Tank Tankuro follows the struggles of Tank Tankuro, lovable robot, and his counterpart, the villain Kuro Kabuto, or Black Helmet, in a pre-war era."Looking at the variety of Japanese manga published in English up till now, from mainstream manga, alternative manga, shojo-manga, to the genre of “gekiga,” I felt that in these past few years, the English-speaking audience became ready for manga that could bring them one step further into the real history of Japanese comics."---http://www.tcj.com/preview-tank-tankuro/

Le Chevalier d'Eon is very graphic, and rated OT 16+ for a reason. The pages are covered in gore, and it delves into some very touchy subjects-such as religion and crime. For this reason, this post will remain imageless, and while I thoroughly recommend it, I also advise caution. If you know you have problems with graphic images, this IS NOT for you.

Paris is terrorized by night, young women, virgins specifically, are disappearing. Every now and then, the police catch up-almost. When they arrive, they find mutilated bodies, decapitated heads, and other gruesome images. Blood and instruments of torture lie everywhere. And into their hands have been carved the words psalms and palms. Who is behind these bizarre and twisted murders? A string of mad disciples of Christ who call themselves the "poet". As one is caught, another appears. The only person in Paris who can fight these creatures- for as they become more and more possessed, they turn into monsters worthy of Anne Rice, or H.P Lovecraft- is Le Chevalier d'Eon, the Sphinx, or Lia de Beaumont, a spirit killed by the Poet, who when the time to fight comes, inhabits the body of her brother, d'Eon de Beaumont. d'Eon works for his Majesty, the King of France. Whenever a new Poet appears, the Poems of the revolution appear in a mirror image on the body of Princess Sophie, by far the most charming and innocent character in the series, Princess Sophie has lost her ability to speak except for the word "Palm". She communicates through word games. d'Eon is assisted in his endeavors by a cat, Nell, and a young man, named Robin.

Zero no Tsukaima creator Noboru Yamaguchi confirmed Friday, on the Media Factory website, that he has an advanced form of cancer. While a diagnosis in February considered surgery on the rapidly growing cancer futile, a more recent exam, brought around after gallstone surgery unrelated to the cancer, has changed the report. Apparently the growth has shrunk, which makes surgery possible. Yamaguchi intends to have this surgery in August of this year.
