As many of you know, Hatsune Miku's birthday was two days ago on August 30th. The virtual idol has been in existence for 4 years now, and has attracted millions of fans. She has preformed in countless concerts, AMVs, has held "live concerts", has had video games and spoof anime and manga made of her and her friends, and now has her own Toyota commercials.

Hatsune's official distribution page, karenT, has a special event (http://karent.jp/special/miku11) going on right now to celebrate.


Every year, in Miku's birthplace, Sapporo,Japan, a concert is held. This year, another concert was held at the Nokia Theatre, during this year's Anime Expo. Mikubook.com, a website where fans can discuss and share all the AMVs and songs that make up the Vocaloid universe, though still in a beta stage, has placed the set-lists from concerts on online, and in order, so if you could not go then, you can enjoy them now.

Game creator Imageepoch has released promotional videos for the new BLACK★ROCK SHOOTER PSP game, Black Rock Shooter The Game. The video is a "world" introduction style promo, while Imageepoch has already released videos for character designs. Various characters include Black Rock Shooter herself, Grey, and White Rock Shooter. The opening animation has been done by ufotable.

The game will ship in Japan on August 25th, 2011.

The song Cantarella, sung by Vocaloid Kaito, has inspired a musical, directed by Yukio Ueshima, with Kentarō Kanesaki and Daisuke Watanabe staring. The show will be preformed from August 3rd to August 7th, in Tokyo's Shibuya's Space Zero theater. If you can't be in Tokyo, the show will be streamed live on the Nico Nico Douga website.

Nekomura Iroha has joined the others and become a Vocaliod.“Hello Kitty to Issho! x Vocaloid” was hinted at by Sanrio in August at Comiket 78. at that time, it was thought that RIO, designed by kittlyer, would be the official mascot. However this is not true.
However, RIO is in the new PSP game, or so it appears.

The PSP connectivity for Vocaloid should be in the Japanese PSP Store June 24th.

The second to last event was released today, it's another gatcha, with images and costumes from the songs. The songs include, Meltdown, Meltdown Hard R.K. Mix, Saihate, Yume Miru Kotori, and Cantarella.

The third and final concert started today, and ends Nov. 30th.There are 45 new songs to collect. You can get a new song every 2 hours.

Today, the 31st of August, is Hatsune Miku's birthday. Our dear Miku has been around for three years now!

The other day, my friend told me about Miku Miku Dance. It's a Vocaliod Product that simulates dancing, so you an take your favorite characters and get them to do almost any dance you want. It's complicated, there are so many little movements, but, it's really a nice product and the graphic are decent. Here's what Miku looks like when you first load her:

Cool as I think these are, they are kinda pricey, around 50$. You may need to save up before you buy. 

The Japanese software product, Vocaloid, where you enter a melody and lyrics and a synthetic voice sings it for you, is having a campaign in TinierMe  right now.You can go in and here music in the Town Stage area, and be sure to pick up a album. A new one is available every two hours, and there are 90 in all. There is also a Gatcha, though, to my great disappointment, it's a G-coin one. ( For those of you who don't know, it's one where you must pay for the chance to spin the Gatcha wheel.  Also available for g-coin purchase, are interior  wall poster, featuring one of all the Vocaloid  voices animated characters. Personally, I think this is frickin awesome, and all who love Vocaloid or good J-pop, this is gonna be sweet. Here are some links:
