The Death of the Manga Revolution

As many of you may know, our beloved TokyoPop, will be closing it's North American branch, due to the failing economy. TokyoPop has served loyally for many years, providing some of the most loved titles of all time, including Fruits Basket, Ouran High School Host Club,  all of the Arina Tanemura works, the original CLAMP releases (U.S.), and so much more.   One of the largest manga producers in the U.S., the closing of TokyoPop will be a stunning blow to otaku and manga lovers everywhere. After the closing of CMX last year, ending several promising and well loved series. From it's closing date, you'll have to buy online. Farewell, TokyoPop!After fourteen years of leading the manga revolution, we have lost a great publisher, and a great ally.  Stu Levy, founder and president, summed it up best:
Fourteen years later, I’m laying down my guns. Together, our community has fought the good fight, and, as a result, the Manga Revolution has been won–manga has become a ubiquitous part of global pop culture. I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished – and the incredible group of passionate fans we’ve served along the way (my fellow revolutionaries!).
The fates of the titles held by TokyoPop will be announced in the coming weeks.

But the art I saw in the few minutes I watched was nice, so I'll report on it later....

Another Vocaliod

 * We are a third party group, and are not paid to advertise or review products.

If you are a fan of the series, Vocaloid has come out with PSP games featuring Miku. There are to that I know of, Miku Hatsune Project Diva- Popular Edition:

And Miku Hatsune Project Diva 2

I'm pretty sure the games aren't all that different, but, seeing as i have not got a PSP, I wouldn't know.I'm guessing form the description that it's a vocal kind of Rock Band.

Domo is now a Mascot for Japan's NHK

The Japanese television channel, now sports Domo as it's official mascot. Domo also appears in several of NHK's sketches.

Domo the manga is published by Tokyopop. The one's I've seen are a bit taller than the norm, but i would assume they are still very amusing.

Domo is also in several DSI programs: Crash Course Domo, Hard Hat Domo, Rock-n-Roll Domo, Pro Putt Domo, and White Water Domo.

In the USA

Domo was adopted into 26 2 min shorts by Nickelodeon, and Target used him in there Halloween ads.

Below is the 1st Domo episode released  from NHK, courtesy of youtube.com

You can finally watch the manga at www.VIZAnime.com

This anime was originally a manga by Matsuri Hino. It is so far a nine book series, based around Yuki Cross, and  her starting to get very confusing life at Cross Academy. Definitely shojo manga.
